Holly Hill, FL - Police now charge two women that are involved with the kidnapping of a 6-month-old baby girl.

According to Holly Hill Police Department, both 34-year-old Sarah Ordonez (left) and 36-year-old Jade Zatalava have been charged after both were connected to a kidnapping incident that took place in Holly Hill just yesterday afternoon (October 31st).

Police say the originally responded just after 3 p.m. yesterday to 541 Carswell Avenue, the location of Arrow Wrecker, in regards of a stolen vehicle.

Authorities met with the owners of Arrow Wrekcer, who said that their vehicle, a GMC Yukon, was stolen.

Their investigation found that Ordonez was babysitting the 6-month-old child and came to the tow yard to retrieve items from a vehicle that had been towed.

It was at that tow yard, that both Ordonez, Zatalava and two unidentified males stole both the Yukon owned by Arrow's operators and a white Mitsubishi Lancer.

As officers continued their investigation they found that Ordonez's phone was in the same vehicle as the abducted child, so they began an emergency GPS search.

The search came up with the location of 332 Dorothy Avenue, however, it would yield no results for officers. They began an expanded search of the neighborhood instead.

It was during their search that officers found a Mitsubishi Lancer matching the description of the one that was stolen from Arrow at an apartment complex behind Dorothy Avenue on 325 Clifton Avenue.

Authorities began to canvas the neighborhood and residents as they looked for Ordonez, Zatalava, and the baby.

As they continued on, one deputy involved in the search noticed a woman who matched Zatalava's description at the complex.

According to the report, the deputy called out to a crowd of people at the top of a staircase in the complex, asking "any of y'all seen a baby?" Which led the crowd of people to point to Zatalava.

Zatalava then turned towards the deputy and picked up a baby from a car seat.

When asked why she didn't say anything to the deputy, she responded with "I was scared."

During her interrogation at the police department, Zatalava said that she had no knowledge one of the males was going to steal the vehicle from Arrow. She also told investigators that she didn't contact law enforcement because she didn't "want to snitch."

She also told police that she did not have permission from Ordonez or the child's parents to remove her from the care of Ordonez.

Both Ordonez and Zatalava were arrested for their involvement in the incident. Ordonez was given $2,500 bond after being charged with child neglect. Zatalava was charged with kidnapping and was given no bail. Both are being held at Volusia County Jail.
