Holly Hill PD Searching For Suspects In Kidnapping Case

Posted
Holly Hill, FL - The search is on in Holly Hill for at least two people involved in the theft of two different vehicles, one which had a six-month-old baby girl inside. The Holly Hill Police Department says a 911 call placed just after 3 o'clock this afternoon sent officers to the Arrow Wrecker at 541 Carswell Avenue, just south of 6th Street and west of U.S. 1/Ridgewood Avenue. HHPD Chief Steve Aldrich tells us the baby has been found safe at an apartment complex less than a mile west of the towing company's location. "According to witnesses, a white [Mitsubishi] Lancer vehicle entered the parking lot of the Arrow Wrecker," Aldrich added. "A female occupant of the vehicle exited the vehicle to conduct business." While she was doing that, police think a man inside the Lancer got out, got into a brownish-gray GMC Yukon owned by the towing company and drove it away. It appears that another person in the Lancer then got behind the wheel and drove away with the baby inside, leaving the woman at the towing company, per Aldrich. HHPD found the Lancer at the Oakwood Apartments on Clifton Street, the same place where the baby was located.
"The Yukon has not yet been recovered," Aldrich noted. "We are currently looking for the suspects from both stolen vehicles at this time." No arrests have been made at this time. No other information has been released by HHPD.
