FCSO: Daytona Woman Shot Man During Drug Deal

Palm Coast, FL - A 21-year-old Daytona Beach woman is now behind bars in Flagler County after deputies say she shot a man in the back of his neck during a drug deal earlier this week.

Princess Williams was taken into custody yesterday morning (October 17th), around 24 hours after the overnight incident on White Star Drive in Palm Coast.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly says Williams came to Palm Coast to meet Carl Saint-Felix and then tried to rob the 19-year-old of his drugs and money after entering his vehicle around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday (October 16th).

"This shows again that, where there are illegal drugs. there are guns and violent crime," Staly added. "The victim is expected to live, but this case also underscores the hazards of being a drug dealer."

Saint-Felix is currently in critical condition after he was airlifted to a nearby hospital by "Air One", the Volusia County Sheriff's Office helicopter. No other injuries were reported.

According to the arrest report, Williams was armed with a gun when she went to meet Saint-Felix and that she planned to rob him before getting in the car because she didn't have the money to buy the drugs.

Wiliams managed to flee the scene without getting caught, but she agreed to meet with FCSO detectives at the Daytona Beach Police Department that evening and that's when she was arrested, per FCSO.

She's been charged with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted robbery with a firearm and attempted armed burglary. She's currently being held at Volusia County Jail without bond and will be extradited to Flagler County.
