Deltona, FL- A game between youth tackle football teams, the Deltona Panthers and the Mainland Buccanneers ended in a brawl on Saturday at Pine Ridge High School.

Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies responded just after 8 p.m. to a report of a fight between the teams. An assistant coach for the Panthers said a controversial play between a boy on each team resulted in them pushing and shoving each other.

The benches cleared and then the stands as players, parents, and fans all got involved. The assistant coach’s wife received minor injuries after being hit by someone. The fight was over when deputies arrived and they found no cause to arrest anyone.
