Ormond-by-the-Sea, FL - A World War II tugboat that's been sitting in the Halifax River for nearly 2 decades sprung a leak on Wednesday afternoon, spilling bilge oil into the water near Ormond-by-the-Sea.

The US Coast Guard quickly assessed and contained the tugboat Tutahaco's leak, but it's not clear at this point how much oil leaked into the water.

The Marine Environmental Response and Sea Tow went to the scene of the spill on Wednesday night and began cleaning the oil.

The cause of the leak is under investigation.
