Daytona Beach Shores, FL - After getting into a fight in a hotel lobby, this woman steals a car, attempted to run over a Shores officer and runs from a crash in Daytona Beach.

On Monday (March 11th), Daytona Beach Shores police responded to the Lexington Hotel off of South Atlantic Avenue with reports of a fight in the lobby.

When officers arrived, they watched as a silver Dodge Stratus sped through the parking lot of the hotel.

However, officers continued to walk into the hotel where they met with the front desk agent and a woman, both of whom claim to have just been in a fight with 26-year-old Lasean Faison.

The woman told officers that Faison left the lobby after the fight and stole her vehicle, the one police saw as they came in.

Some officers left the building in order to find the vehicle. As they walked out, one officer saw the vehicle pull into the parking lot of Biggins Gentleman's Club, where they approached the vehicle.

One officer approached the vehicle and saw Faison in the car, and began to knock on the driver side window. Faison then started the vehicle and accelerated backwards with the officer still in the vehicle.

As she backed up, she ran over the side of the officer's boot, causing her to stumble. The officer tried to get Faison to stop, but Faison drove towards the officer and the officer jumped out of the way.

Faison then traveled north on Atlantic, towards Daytona Beach.

Not long after, Daytona Beach police reported that they found the Dodge Stratus wrecked at the intersection of Ora Street and Halifax Avenue, the same one that Faison was driving.

Faison had hit another vehicle and ran off from the crash. She was found soon after the crash by a DBPD K-9 unit.

Back at the hotel, officers interviewed the female attacked by Faison, who said the following.

She and Faison had gotten into an argument in their room. Sometimes during the argument, things escalated and Faison began to choke her.

After breaking free, she ran out of the room and to the lobby to ask for help as Faison chased her, demanding that she returned to the room.

When she refused, Faison grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground. While on the ground, Faison began to punch her over and over.

Evidence from Daytona Beach Shores police shows that one onlooker recorded the fight, which showed Faison attacking the victim and the front desk agent of the hotel, who pushed Faison back.

When the victim returned to the room, she found the room vandalized with food on the walls and the mattress turned over, according to the report from DBS.

She told police that she also found her keys missing, saying that Faison stole her vehicle.

Body worn camera footage from Shores police shows that the victim had a baby in the room that was left alone after the incident.

Faison was arrested and charged with grand theft, battery, criminal mischief, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer on top of a list of other charges.

She was booked at Volusia County Jail where she currently sits in custody, held on $14,000 bond.
