Woman Carjacked At Knife Point At Port Orange Walmart

Port Orange, FL-Update: The woman who tried to carjack another woman at the Port Orange Walmart was in court today. Her bond was set at $75,000 and a no-contact order with the victim was issued. Catharyn Brandolini tried to carjack a 67-year-old woman at knifepoint. Earlier reporting: Authorities in Port Orange have a suspect in custody after a woman was carjacked at knife point at the Walmart on Dunlawton Avenue Tuesday. The store is at 1590 Dunlawton Avenue. Police say it started when the suspect approached the woman as she was putting groceries in her vehicle just before 5 PM. She forced the victim into the passenger seat of the car at knife point and then drove to the PNC Bank where she demanded the victim's ATM card and PIN number. While the suspect used the card at the ATM, the victim got out of the vehicle and alerted bystanders to call 911. At that point, police say, the suspect took off on foot. Police quickly took 54-year-old Catharyn Brandolini into custody at the Halifax Hospital nearby at 1041 Dunlawton Avenue. The victim, who is 67, was not hurt. Brandolini was being held at the branch jail on no bond charged with several felonies.
