FDOT Warns Drivers Of SR 44 Lane Closure This Weekend In DeLand

DeLand, FL- Drivers in DeLand will be dealing with a lane closure that begins Friday evening and lasts through Monday morning. FDOT spokesperson Jessica Ottaviano said that the eastbound lane of State Road 44 between Florida Avenue and Woodland Boulevard will shut down at 7 P.M. and end Monday at 6 A.M. Ottaviano said that it is a maintenance repair for damaged concrete in that area. She said it's not an emergency repair but the work needs to be done and FDOT is doing it this weekend. Eastbound traffic will be detoured around the closure by turning right onto Florida Avenue, left onto Howry Avenue, left onto South Alabama Avenue and right onto SR 44.
