Focus On Drowning Prevention At WADE Day In Deltona

Deltona, FL-First Aid classes and water safety are on the agenda at Deltona's City Hall this weekend.  There's no Council meeting though. The focus will be on keeping people safe in and around the water.

Public Information Officer Lee Lopez said that WADE, or Water And Drowning Education Day, will feature free First Aid classes by the Deltona Fire Department will take place at 15 minute intervals beginning at 1115 AM, with a one hour lunch break from noon until 1.

Swim With Becky and Friends, LLC works with younger children to be aware and as safe as they can be in the water.

WADE Day takes place at the Deltona City Hall on Saturday, May 7, and runs from 11 AM until 3 PM.
