Seminole County, FL - A 68-year-old Volusia County motorcyclist is killed and two other Volusia residents are hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Seminole County.

Ronald Hagen of Deltona died around 3:30 yesterday afternoon in an accident under heavy rain on State Road 46, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the accident report, Hagen was riding his 2013 Harley-Davidson westbound on SR 46 near Geneva Road when he moved into the eastbound lane and collided with a 1999 Dodge pickup truck driven by 56-year-old Maurice Keitt of Osteen.

Another motorcyclist - 74-year-old Laurent Gauvin of DeLand - was riding his 2002 Harley-Davidson westbound on SR 46 behind Hagen when the first impact happened, per troopers. His motorcycle then struck Hagen's from behind.

Hagan died at the scene, while Gauvin was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford in serious condition. Keitt suffered minor injuries.

An autopsy is pending to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.

Hagen and Keitt were wearing seat restraints at the time of the accident, per the FHP report. It's not clear if Gauvin was, but neither he nor Hagen were wearing helmets.
