Volusia All-County Orchestra To Play With FL Orchestra At Peabody Auditorium

Volusia County, FL - On Monday night, the Volusia All-County Orchestra will have the unique experience to play side-by-side with the nationally-recognized Florida Orchestra.

Michael Francis, the Florida Orchestra’s Music Director, will conduct both the Florida Orchestra and the Sinfonietta Orchestra, which is made up of mostly high school students that were selected after auditions last fall. The opening performance will be by the Festival Orchestra, conducted by Jennifer Zahn from Titusville High School in Brevard County. This group is made up of mostly middle school students. The Florida Orchestra will conclude the concert with “Italian Symphony” by Felix Mendelssohn.

This event is part of the 44th Annual Volusia All-County Orchestra Showcase and will be held at the Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd, Daytona Beach, on February 6 at 7 PM. It is a free concert and is open to the public.
