VCSO Looking For Same Robbers As DBPD

Daytona Beach, FL - Volusia County Sheriff's deputies and the Daytona Beach Police Department could be looking for the same pair of burglary suspects who committed two robberies just 30 minutes and less than two miles apart last Saturday (June 15).

The first incident happened at about 4:35 a.m. at the BP gas station located at the intersection of Derbyshire Road and LPGA Boulevard. The suspects, in this case, are described as two black males wearing black hoodies. One suspect is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a black and white bandanna covering his face, and black pants. The second suspect was 6 feet tall, wearing a navy blue bandanna covering his face, and white and black pants.

The man wearing the black and white bandanna held a gun to the neck of the clerk, pushing him to the back of the store where the cash register was. The other man opened the register and took the cash. Both suspects fled the area on foot in different directions.

Less than 30 minutes later and less than two miles away, two suspects robbed the Stop & Save, located on Mason Avenue just off Derbyshire Road. The description of the suspects and their actions during the crime are similar to those of the robbers at the BP station. One difference is that in the robbery at the Stop & Save, the taller suspect was carrying a green and white flower pattern book bag.

Anyone with information on either or both of these crimes can contact the DBPD or VCSO. You can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida or online.
