VCSO: Gun Stolen During "Anonymous Sex Party"

Posted

Deltona, FL - It seems a suspect was able to utilize anonymity to make off with a gun during a "sex party" at a Deltona home.

Volusia County deputies met with someone at a Giovanni Street residence back on July 25th with reports that he could not find his firearm in his home after a weekend party.

He says the gun was a Glock that stays loaded and in a holster in a nightstand near his bed. He also said that he doesn't have any children that reside with him, but he does have a roommate. However, he doesn't suspect him of taking it.

The next day (July 26th), detectives began their investigation into the case but they wouldn't meet with the victim again until last Thursday (August 1st).

During the interview, investigators found out that the victim hosted an open house party from Friday, July 19th to Sunday, July 21st. According to the report the party was advertised on a "gay social media site" and the theme was "anonymous sex."

The victim said that guests were encouraged to come and go as they pleased and that they should bring friends, acquaintances and utilize fake names or use no name at all.

He estimated that 20 people came through the residence throughout the weekend, and out of those people he knew about five or six personally.

With the lack of information, Volusia County investigators decided to suspend the case, pending the discovery of additional property or perpetrator or witness information.
