Deltona, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office (VCSO) has arrested and charged a man with 30 counts of possession of child pornography.
On Thursday morning, deputies arrested 43-year-old Paul Elias of Collingswood Drive in Deltona. The investigation into Elias began on August 31 when the VCSO received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The VCSO partnered with the Department of Homeland Security’s Cocoa Beach office to complete the investigation. Detectives found hundreds of photos and videos of children in sexual situations with an adult male on Elias' electronics. According to the Sheriff's Office, the children were believed to be in the age range of less than 1 year to 12 years old.
Elias remains in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
Currently, detectives are working to identify the victims involved. Anyone who knows or may have been a victim is asked to call the Child Exploitation Unit at 386-254-1537.
