Posted

Ormond Beach, FL - One beach-goer in Ormond Beach got a wild surprise when approximately a kilo of cocaine in a package with the word "Porsche" written on it washed up on the beach on Tuesday morning. The package was found Tuesday morning just south of Andy Romano Park in Ormond Beach by a man who was running along the beach and tried to unwrap the plastic on the package, according to Volusia County Sheriff's reports. The wind blew the cocaine all over his clothes. "I was unwrapping the plastic, and when the plastic cellophane came off, there was a rubber coating," said the man who found the cocaine, who was not identified in VCSO reports or in the 9-1-1 call obtained from VCSO. "It was  just an unbelievable amount of cocaine." The package was turned over to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, and it was confirmed tested presumptive positive for cocaine. The total weight of the cocaine was approximately 1,002.9 grams. NOTE: Cocaine in the picture is not the cocaine mentioned in the story. Copyright Southern Stone Communications 2018.
