Two People OK After Car Crashes Into Halifax River In Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach, FL-Two people are wet but otherwise ok after their vehicle went off Orange Avenue and into the Halifax River this morning in Daytona Beach. The car went into the water behind Daytona Beach Fire Station #1. Personnel inside went out to help. The two people in the car swam to nearby docks and were helped out of the water.

The fire station is at 301 S. Beach Street.

They two got out through the driver side window which was down when the vehicle hit a light pole and ended up in the water near Jackie Robinson Ballpark around 7:30 AM.
