Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach police have arrested two men in connection to a double shooting near a beachside nightclub over the weekend.

35-year-old Rodney D. Dourth (left) of Holly Hill is charged with three felonies - aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a probation violation - in the early Saturday morning incident at a parking lot near Razzle's on Seabreeze Boulevard.

An arrest report shows he was the shooter but he's not been charged with the shooting at this point, according to Daytona Beach Police Department spokesperson Lyda Longa.

"He was arrested for an offense that occurred just before the shooting and which led up to the shooting," Longa added.

Dourth's arrest report shows he threatened a woman with a gun in hand while both were at the Taphouse nightclub nearby shortly before the shooting of two men, a 32-year-old white man from Edgewater and a 23-year-old black man from Port Orange.

That woman went to DBPD for help after learning about the shooting, telling police the morning after that she feared for her life and had stayed at a friend's house the night before because of what happened between her and Dourth.

Dourth was arrested at his home on State Street within 12 hours of the incident and is currently held without bond at Volusia County Jail. His arrest report shows he's been convicted for at least three prior felonies, including most recently for an August 2017 burglary.

The other man under arrest is 29-year-old Nicco Villagomez (right) of Port Orange. He's facing a battery charge for hitting Dourth after he and another man got into an argument with Dourth about the Taphouse incident, per his arrest report.
