Flagler County, FL-FHP is sorting out a multi-vehicle wreck Friday night that killed two and left others injured. The two people killed were in a Ford Fusion that was apparently hit head on. The Ford was going north on A1A around 6:25 PM Friday near Mariners Drive when a driver was southbound and tried to pass another vehicle. That was the first impact according to the FHP report. The impact sent the Ford spinning into the path of another vehicle which caused another head on impact.

The southbound vehicle that was passing was a Mercury Sable driven by 51-year-old William Schwarz of Ormond Beach. The FHP report lists him as hospitalized in critical condition and says his involvement was "alcohol related". Charges are pending.

The two people who died in the Ford are identified as 66-year-old Kathleen Boos of Palm Coast who was the driver. Her passenger who was killed is identified as 67-year-old Carl Boos of Pennsylvania.

The vehicle being passed by the car driven by Schwarz, an Infinity G3, was also hit and the driver is hospitalized. She is identified as 21-year-old Brittania Dimattia of New Mexico. She is in critical condition.

Another vehicle was involved in the accident, but no one was hurt in that car.
