Daytona Beach, FL - The TSA will officially open a permanent PreCheck enrollment center at the Daytona Beach International Airport on July 1st.

PreCheck allows participating travelers to leave on their shoes, light jackets, and belts, and they can leave laptops and compliant liquids in their carry-on bags - making for a quicker and more efficient screening process.

"We are very excited about having the TSA PreCheck enrollment center," said Jay Cassens, Business Development Director at DBIA. "Last fall, TSA held a 2-week enrollment event here and it was very successful, with 1,200 people enrolled."

Passengers must pre-enroll and schedule an appointment where they will be required to provide documents that prove their identity and citizenship status, then they'll be fingerprinted for a background check. The $85 application fee can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier's check. Cash and personal checks will not be accepted. Successful applicants will be mailed a Known Traveler Number (KTN), which is valid for 5 years, within 45 days. This KTN can then be used when booking travel reservations through participating airlines.

"The TSA PreCheck enrollment center is another convenience for our passengers and enhances the overall customer service experience," said Cassens.
