FHP PIO Sgt. Kim Montes says the trooper stopped the vehicle shortly before noon for an illegal window tint. The trooper saw a glass smoking pipe inside the vehicle commonly used for drugs and detained the driver. Montes says that's when 32-year -old Jesse Wayne Spence of Pierson told the trooper there was a meth lab in the car. Volusia County Fire with the hazmat team responded to the scene. 39 grams of suspected meth oil, 5 grams of methamphetamines, along with ingredients and supplies to manufacture methamphetamines were located in the vehicle. Spencer was arrested on drug charges and on an active warrant for driving with a suspended license. He was booked into VCBJ.
