Symetra Tour Players To Volunteer At Halifax Humane Society During Daytona Stop

Daytona Beach, FL – The Halifax Humane Society (HHS) is set to host players from the Symetra Tour Championship to spend part of the day walking and playing with animals at the shelter.

On every stop of the tournament, the players choose a charity organization to volunteer for and help out. From 11 AM to 1 PM on October 2, HSS is fulfilling the players’ wish to help out a local charity relating to animals during their stop in Daytona Beach. Morgan Miller, Player Services Coordinator, reached out to HSS to set it up.

“Morgan contacted us about having the players come to walk and socialize the dogs. I had to make arrangements with several of our volunteer dog walkers to help with this request and fortunately enough volunteers stepped up to assist,” said HSS Volunteer Manager, Lindsey Kelley.

The golfers will play with and walk the shelter’s dogs for two hours with help from trained volunteer staff. The following golfers are set to attend:

  • Tiffany Chan
  • Nanna Koerstz Madsen
  • Lindsey McPherson
  • Hannah Green
  • Ruixin Liu
  • Wanasa Zhou
  • Erynne Lee
  • Nicole Sakamoto
  • Emily Childs
  • Elin Arvidsson
  • Michelle Piyapattra
  • Sammi Stevens

The Symetra Tour prepares these young female professional golfers for the LPGA Tour. It has earned the name “Road to the LPGA” because of this mission. At the end of the year’s Volvik Race, the top ten players will continue on to the LPGA Tour.
