There, responding units found out that an SUV traveling southbound on Peninsula hit a power pole before turning over. Firefighters had to extricate the entrapped driver who was the only one in the vehicle. The adult male driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
As a result of the crash, the power pole was broken near the base and the pole is now slightly leaning towards the roadway. FPL was called to come and secure the broken pole.
