Daytona Beach, FL-New analysis of crash statistics from highways across the U.S. finds I-4 between Tampa and Daytona Beach is the most dangerous stretch in the nation.
The analysis was done by the highway driving safety app company behind
Everdrive.
I-4 has particular issues according to law enforcement agencies due to the high concentration of tourists driving to and from attractions who are unfamiliar with the road. Another issue is continued construction projects along I-4 including what's called I-4 Ultimate.
I-4 had an average of 1.41 fatalities per mile from 2010 to 2015.
