Daytona Beach, FL – A substitute teacher was arrested on Friday for physically restraining four students.

Daytona Beach Police officers were called to Turie T Small Elementary School Friday morning for a report that the teacher, 59-year-old Mohga Kodsy, had physically restrained four children, ages 7 and 8. The children told the school resource officer that they were being punished by facing the wall. They said their foreheads hit the wall.

The children were checked and though none appeared to have visible injuries, the parents of two of the children want charges pressed against Kodsy.

Kodsy was taken to Volusia County Jail and charged with two counts of Act Against a Child that could result in physical or mental injury. There’s no word on how Volusia County Schools will handle the incident.
