Daytona Beach, FL- A store clerk at Jolly World, located at 1027 Mason Avenue in Daytona Beach, is under arrest for stabbing and severely injuring a customer.  The clerk, 24-year-old Manu Ravindran, allegedly stabbed 23-year-old Deandre Howard.

The police report says that Howard will likely suffer permanent disfigurement and disability.  Two separate witness accounts point to the suspect, Ravindran, as the aggressor in an argument that escalated to violence. Ravindran claimed that the argument started because Howard had previously stolen items from the store.

Police also say that Ravindran told them the D.V.R. for store surveillance was not working properly. After further investigation, it was determined that video footage had been deleted.

Ravindran is charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability.
