Daytona Beach, FL - The State Fire Marshal's Office is looking into a fire that investigators are calling "suspicious."
The Daytona Beach Fire Department says that units responded to a house fire around 4:15 this afternoon (August 14th) off of Palmetto Drive.
When they arrived they found smoke coming from the second floor and made their way upstairs where they found the fire located in a bathroom. Firefighters quickly put the fire out, with no occupants inside the house.
According to Sasha Staton with DBFD, the fire is labeled as "suspicious" and it is currently under investigation.
Units from South Daytona also assisted Daytona Beach.
