South Daytona, FL - South Daytona Police are looking for the man they say injured a 7-11 clerk as he was stealing the bank bag with the shift receipts in the amount of $4,424 yesterday (October 14) afternoon. The man is described as a black male, between the ages of 20 and 30, wearing a blue Addidas hooded sweatshirt, white undershirt, gray sweatpants with a black stripe. His shoes were Nike Air Jordan 10's, Light Smoke color. The shoes have "zebra-like" stripes underneath with a red "Jordan" on the heel.

Officers responded to the 7-11 store located at a corner of Nova Road and Big Tree Road just after 1 p.m. The clerk said she was in her car in the store parking lot when the suspect reached in and grabbed the bag. At some point during the altercation, the car door slammed on her hand. The clerk got out of the car to give chase and twisted one of her ankles. The suspect ran toward nearby Blaine O'Neal Park and jumped in a waiting car. Witnesses in the store parking lot and at the park say the vehicle was a Chevy Malibu. One person said it was silver or gold in color, another said it was champagne and the clerk that was robbed thought it was blue.

One witness, a man, chased the suspect on foot then got in his own car to try and locate the suspect. A female witness in the park said that the suspect and the driver were "fairly clean-cut, short hair - maybe with goatees or dreadlocks." The second suspect, driving the getaway car, is described as a black male, between 20 and 30 years of age, wearing a white t-shirt, white shorts with gray horizontal stripes, with gray shoes and wearing a dew-rag.

Anyone with information on the robbery or the suspects is asked to contact their local law enforcement.
