Orange City, FL – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is questioning a man after shots are fired in a home near Orange City early this morning, killing another man.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. at 720 Highland Drive, just blocks away from where Enterprise Road meets U.S. 17 and just to the northwest of Florida Hospital Fish Memorial.

VCSO spokesman Andrew Gant says it looks like the shooting happened during some sort of domestic disturbance.

Detectives tell us the shooter – who is the boyfriend of the victim’s mother – remained at the scene.
