No New Evidence Found In Ground Search For Missing Edgewater Teen

vcso-back-of-car Edgewater, FL- Update: VCSO is reporting that the search in the area of Rotary Park for evidence pertaining to the disappearance of 18-year-old Ashlyn Bowman this morning did not turn up anything of value. About 15 volunteers joined VCSO and Edgewater PD in the effort.  Work will continue on the case and there will be additional searches when new leads and information come in. Anyone with any information is asked to contact VCSO, the Edgewater PD or Crime Stoppers. Earlier reporting: The Volusia Sheriff's Office Major Case Unit will coordinate with the Edgewater Police Department to conduct a ground search for 18-year-old Ashlyn Bowman on Wednesday morning. Bowman has been missing since June 21. Bowman was last seen in the area of Edgewater Canal Road. She is a white female, 5'4", 135lbs, with blue eyes and blonde hair. VCSO Public Information Officer Andrew Gant said they will be looking for clues to her disappearance. Gant said both VCSO and the Edgewater Police Department have devoted a good amount of resources and time to the search for Bowman. They go even further on Wednesday with a search in the vicinity of Rotary Park in Edgewater. The search begins at 7:30 a.m., at the park, located at 902 W. Park Avenue. Members of the Facebook group, FindAshlynBowman0123, will be assisting with Wednesday’s search.
