Flagler County, FL - Flagler County's 18th sheriff was sworn in on Tuesday, January 3, in front of a crowd of around 400 people.
During the ceremony Sheriff Rick Staly said, "to our community, I am honored and humbled to be trusted by you to serve and protect you, your family and our business community." He promised to be tough on crime and said, "the safety and security of our community are critical to Flagler County being a vibrant and growing community."
A reception was held after the ceremony to honor Sheriff Staly and tours were given of the Sheriff's Operations Center.
