Reward Offered After Sanford Police Officer’s Gun & Gear Stolen In DeBary

Sanford, FL-Police in Sanford hope a cash reward will lead to the recovery of a gun and other gear belonging to a Sanford police officer. The gear was stolen from an unmarked vehicle Saturday in DeBary.

The thief made entry into the vehicle by breaking through the rear window of the vehicle parked at Rob Sullivan Park at 200 West Highbanks Road between 1 and 1:30 PM Saturday. The stolen items include a department issued Sig Sauer 9mm handgun, a gold Sanford Police Investigator badge and a tactical vest. The officer’s personal shotgun was also stolen.

A $1000 reward is being offered for information on the crime. Call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
