Daytona Beach, FL-A 2017 calendar called “Hero’s and Rescue Pets” is in the production stage right now. This calendar will benefit Furry Nation Salvation and Concerned Citizens for Animal Welfare.

The calendar features both Daytona Beach Firefighters and Daytona Beach Police Officers posing with rescue dogs and cats. It is the brainchild of Daytona Beach firefighter Tonja Heer.

A photoshoot with firefighters and police officers is taking place at the Daytona Beach Police Station on Thursday. Heer said there will likely be more than one picture for each month of the calendar because they are trying to do something a little different.

In an effort to raise more money for the rescued pets, Heer is planning to have every page autographed by the firefighter or police officer in the photo. Autographed calendars will cost $25. Without an autograph, the calendar cost will be $10.

Pre-ordering should start before the end of June with delivery planned for sometime in October. Check back with NewsDaytonaBeach.com to find out when ordering information is available.
