Daytona Beach, FL-28-year-old Wanda Chapman has been charged as the sneak thief who stole two valuable rings from a North Beach Street business. The crime happened April 25 at Art Jewelry Design at 508 North Beach Street.

The heavy set woman is seen on security video coming into the store and asking to see something that the owner has to go to the back to retrieve. When his back is turned, police say she is seen reaching into a closed case and taking the items.

The police report says the two stolen rings, both 14K gold with diamonds, were valued at a total of $1500.

An Ormond Beach police officer recognized Chapman on the security video and called Daytona Beach PD.

The owner was able to pick Chapman out of a photo lineup.
