Port Orange City Council To Choose Interim Member

Port Orange, FL - The Port Orange City Council will appoint an interim for the District 1 Council seat left open due to the death of Bob Ford in December 2018. Ford passed away in December 22, 2018 after a battle with cancer.

The special election to fill the empty seat is set for April. In the meantime, the interim appointed will fill the spot. Three candidates, 26-year-old Brent Warner, 64-year-old Jack Wiles, and 63-year-old James Meadows, are up for the position. The general election is on April 30 with early voting for this election taking place from April 22 through 26 and only at the Supervisor of Elections Office in DeLand.
