UPDATE (12-10-18): The Deland Police Department says several errors were made with the release of the initial information to the media. Two of them are adults with the ages of 18 (male) and 19 (female), according to DeLand PD spokesperson Chris Graham. "This has been corrected on our website as well," Graham added. "My apologies for the error." The other victim is now identified as a 16-year-old male. All three are DeLand residents and were treated at Florida Hospital DeLand. None of them are being named by WNDB since none are facing charges at this time. Per the DeLand PD report, the 18-year-old was shot in the arm and the 19-year-old was grazed by a bullet on her abdomen. Several witnesses told police the shots apparently came from inside a vehicle which was spinning its tires in the roadway and throwing up a lot of smoke. It's not clear in that report where the 16-year-old was shot, but police noted that he was having difficulty staying conscious when speaking to detectives at the hospital. Earlier reporting below.
