Daytona Beach, FL-The search is on for a man suspected of shooting his girlfriend in the shoulder on Wednesday night. Daytona Beach Police say 22-year-old Devonte Smokes shot the woman in front of a residence in the Mt. Carmel Apartments on Lincoln St.
PIO Jimmie Flynt said they were notified by Halifax Health Medical Center about the gunshot. He said the warrant is for aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
