Ormond Beach, FL - Update: 72-year-old Donald Place has been named as the person of interest in the suspicious death of his wife, Debra Place, of Ormond Beach. Donald Place is currently being held in New York State for a previous, unrelated warrant.

Earlier Reporting:

A woman was found dead in her Ormond Beach mobile home over the weekend, and police say now they're investigating the death as a suspicious incident.

Officers went to do a well-being check on Saturday morning at the mobile home on lot 121 at 170 N. Yonge St. after Melissa Wells told police that she got a letter from her mother's partner saying that her mother, 64-year-old Debra Place, was dead and that he would be dead soon. When police got to Place's home they found her body inside, but the couple's vehicle was missing. The vehicle is a Mercury station wagon with the FL tag BAEC79.

Officials say a person of interest in the case has been located and interviewed. The investigation is ongoing and officials say more information will be released in the future.
