Police Arrest DeLand Woman For Driving Juveniles To Shoot At Homeless People

woman handcuffs arrest 1 DeLand, FL- A DeLand woman is accused of driving three juveniles around to look for homeless people and shooting at a man with BB rifles early Sunday morning. DeLand Police arrested 36-year-old Amina El-Zayat, charging her with aggravated battery, contributing to the delinquency of minors and child neglect. The juveniles shot BBs from two Airsoft rifles at a homeless man who was picking through the trash at a gas station on Woodland Boulevard around 1 A.M. The victim said they cursed him and shot at him, drove away and returned 30 minutes later to do the same thing. This time, the victim did get hit in the neck with a BB. El-Zayat allegedly said she was having trouble with transients picking through the trash at a nearby car wash her family owns. The BB rifles and 5,000 BB pellets were found in her vehicle.
