Person Hit By Vehicle And Killed On Mason Avenue In Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach, FL-Police are releasing few details today after a person was hit by a vehicle and killed on Mason Avenue in Daytona Beach early today. Police say it happened just after midnight when the driver was going east on Mason Avenue approaching the intersection with Center Street. 65-year-old Michael Wehr of Ormond Beach was driving in the inside lane and told police he saw something laying in the roadway. He told officers he didn't realize it was a person until after his vehicle hit the object.
