Daytona Beach,FL – Florida Hospital for Children has opened a pediatric specialty clinic on the fourth floor of Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s medical office building at 305 Memorial Medical Parkway, Suite 408, Daytona Beach. The specialists will relocate from their current location at the Pavilion at Port Orange.

This same floor is home to Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s obstetrical practice, Women’s Care OB/GYN, for women who are pregnant, and adjacent to the BirthCare Center for newborn deliveries and an impending neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which is expected to open later this summer. Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center pediatricians Dr. Shilpa Sulochana and Dr. Mihir Tolat are also located on this floor.

“With the addition of the Florida Hospital for Children's pediatric specialty clinic, the fourth floor at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center gives mothers and their children more convenient access to the services available to keep their little ones healthy,” said Becky Vernon, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center director of women and children's services. “Here, patients can take comfort in knowing they can get their prenatal and delivery care right here, and stay on this same floor for their pediatric appointments, both for regular check-ups and with highly skilled specialists.”

“Families with sick children can see a wide range of pediatric specialists right here in town, without having to travel to Orlando or Jacksonville,” said Darlinda Copeland, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center senior vice president and chief operating officer. “These specialists range from cardiology to orthopedics, to oncology and urology, among others.”

On April 26 at 6 p.m., families are invited to meet the pediatric specialists from Florida Hospital for Children, as well as pediatricians Sulochana and Tolat, local otolaryngologist (also known as an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist or ENT) Dr. Narges Mazloom, and specialists from the BirthCare Center and Women’s Care OB/GYN.
