Palm Coast To Honor Frank Meeker With Dedication Ceremonies

candles Palm Coast, FL - In honor of former City Council Member and Flagler County Commissioner Frank Meeker, who died in July, the City of Palm Coast will hold two dedication ceremonies. Both dedications are open to the public, and no RSVP is needed. "Mr. Meeker had been a big volunteer, and mentor... a soccer coach," said Cindi Lane, Communications and Marketing Manager for Palm Coast. "So the city council thought it would be appropriate to dedicate one of our fields at the Indian Trails Sports Complex in his memory." On Tuesday, September 27, the dedication of Frank Meeker Field will be held at 6 PM at Field 3 at the Indian Trails Sports Complex, 5455 Belle Terre Pkwy. Additionally, the city council decided to dedicate a tree in Mr. Meeker's name in Central Park, next to City Hall. "We've put in a Crepe Myrtle tree and a small garden," said Lane. On Tuesday, October 4, the dedication of the Crepe Myrtle tree and garden will be held at Central Park, 975 Central Ave, starting at 6 PM. The city is asking the public, and anyone who knew Mr. Meeker, to come to these dedications. Photo courtesy Luca Flor and Shutterstock.com. Frank Meeker
