Palm Coast, FL - There is a new face on the Palm Coast City Council after the City appointed a new member to complete the term of a former council member who resigned last month. Vincent T. Lyon was appointed last night at the City Council meeting to fill the shoes of resigned council member Steve Nobile in the District 4 seat. Lyon will serve until November when a newly elected council member will take office for a four-year term. The primary election for that seat is scheduled for August 28th, and the general election will be November 6th, according to a news release from the city. "I hope to live up to the expectations and the high goals that the City has," said Lyon. Lyon has lived in Palm Coast for over five years. He is a member of several business and trade groups and charities in the area, including Rotary Club of Flagler County, Flagler County Bar Association, and Flagler County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a graduate of the Palm Coast Citizen's Academy. Lyon earned his law degree from The George Washington University Law School after receiving his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and master's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.
