Ormond PD: Man Hit & Killed Crossing Granada Blvd

UPDATE (6-18-2018): The man killed in Saturday’s incident has been identified as a transient man by the name of Keith Hoskinson of Cloverport, KY. Ormond Beach police confirm they have obtained dashcam footage of the incident.

Ormond Beach, FL – Traffic detectives are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a car.

It happened around 9:30 last night on the 1600 block of West Granada Boulevard, next to where Granada/State Road 40 meets Interstate 95.

Ormond Beach Police Department Officer Keith Walker tells us it looks like the victim was struck by a Toyota Corolla heading eastbound on Granada after crossing right in front of the vehicle.

“The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” Walker added. “The name of the deceased pedestrian will be released when the next of kin notification has been made.”

No charges have been filed at this time, according to Walker.

No other details have been released by OBPD at this time, including the names of the people involved.
