Ormond Beach, Flagler Beach, and Daytona Beach, FL - Ormond Beach, Flagler Beach, and Daytona Beach have all been named in TripAdvisor's list of the nation's top 20 affordable beach destinations.

Ormond Beach was ranked 2nd, Flagler 3rd, and Daytona Beach came in at 15.

“We are thrilled that Flagler Beach continues to be recognized by TripAdvisor and its users as a top beach destination, not only in the state but the entire US. It’s also a plus that some of our neighbors were on the list as well,” said Amy Lukasik, Director of Tourism Marketing for the Flagler County Tourism Development Council. “Affordability is one of the main reasons that many of our visitors decide to come back year after year. Our properties and vacation rental homes offer an incredible bang for your buck with a variety of price points to suit even the most budget-conscious traveler. Plus, our main attractions, which are the beach and Mother Nature, are free!”

"This list is important to us because it's visitor generated," said Lori Campbell Baker, Public Relations Director for the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (DBACVB). That means it was generated by people who actually came to the area and said: "this is a great value for our dollar."

Ashlee Centrella, Digital PR Specialist, Vacation Rentals for TripAdvisor, said TripAdvisor "analyzed the average cost for a week-long stay in a two-bedroom property between May 2016-Sept 2016" and determined that the average weekly rate in Ormond beach was $912, $932 in Flagler Beach, and in Daytona Beach it was $1,192.

Baker recommends that visitors and residents take a look at DaytonaBeach.com if they are interested in enjoying what Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach have to offer. "We load everything that we know to see and do in the area," said Baker. "Take a look and I bet you'll find some ideas that will surprise you... things to do locally with your own friends and family that are coming in to visit." For Flagler Beach, Lukasik recommends people go to VisitFlagler.com.
