Ormond Beach, FL - Two young men were stabbed on Saturday night in a fight that had carried over from an attempted drug-related robbery the day before. According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Michael Parker, 23, and 22-year-old Kyle Wagner went to an Ormond Beach home on Saturday to confront Adam Vignati, 19, to discuss Friday's attempted robbery. When the two got to 1714 Carolina Ave., Parker was attacked by Vignati and three juveniles. When Wagner tried to help Parker, Vignati and a 16-year-old juvenile went inside the home, came back out with two large kitchen knives, and then proceeded to stab both Wagner and Parker. The victims ran from the scene and, a short time later, deputies responded to a report of two men being stabbed at the intersection of Derbyshire Rd. and Alcazar St. in Daytona Beach. Wagner and Parker were rushed to Halifax Health Medical Center, where officials say Parker was treated for cuts to his left arm and lower back and then was released. Wagner suffered more serious injuries including a collapsed lung and a punctured liver and kidney. He was admitted to ICU and is listed in critical condition. VCSO detectives went to the hospital and then to the Ormond Beach home where the stabbing occurred. The four suspects admitted to the fight and the stabbing. Vignati and the 16-year-old were arrested and have been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The other juveniles have since been released to their parents. VCSO says the investigation is still ongoing.
