Orange City Police Searching For Armed Bank Robber

Orange City, FL - Police are trying to find the person who showed a gun while robbing a bank in Orange City.

The Orange City Police Department tells us it happened just after 4 p.m. Friday (January 11th) at the Space Coast Credit Union inside the Walmart on 2400 Veterans Memorial Parkway.

OCPD Lieutenant Jason Sampsell says the suspect (photo above) received money after going up to a teller and displaying the gun.

"The suspect fled on foot to a white car (photo below)," Sampsell added. "The suspect is described as a heavy set, middle aged, black male wearing a possible dark blue sweat shirt, gray colored shorts, sunglasses and light colored “slides” on his feet."

No injuries were reported.

OCPD didn't say how much money the robber took.
