Orange City Police Search For Suspect In Liquor Store Armed Robbery

black gun and money Orange City, FL - The Orange City Police Department is searching for the man who robbed an Orange City Liquor store at gunpoint. It was around 12:06 PM on Friday, August 5th, when police responded to Orange City Liquor at 1155 S. Volusia Ave in reference to an armed robbery. Witnesses told officers that a black man had come into the store with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect took an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene in a black SUV. He was last seen heading south on S. Volusia Ave. The suspect is described as a 5'8" black man who was wearing dark sunglasses, a gray sweatshirt, and a blue or gray hat. No one was hurt during the robbery.
