"Operation Green Light" Begins Saturday

DeLand, FL - Collection fees on outstanding traffic and criminal financial obligations are being waived by both the Volusia and Flagler county clerk's offices, and across the state, beginning this weekend during "Operation Green Light."

If you live in Volusia County, you only have four hours and one place to take advantage of this deal. That's at the Volusia County courthouse in DeLand this Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The DMV will have its mobile unit in the courthouse parking lot. Once your tickets are paid, you can take your release and get your driver's license back.

Flagler County residents have a week to pay their fines. The Clerk's Office will accept payments on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and through the following week, every day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Payments in both counties can be made by cash, check, money order or credit card. A 3.5 percent service fee will be added to credit cards.
