NSBPD Is Looking For Driver In Hit-And-Run Fatality Accident

New Smyrna Beach, FL - Investigators with the New Smyrna Beach Police Department are looking for the driver who hit and killed 43-year-old Michael Calabrese early this morning (July 12).

NSBPD responded to a call just after 1 a.m. about a deceased man lying in the median in the 3300 block of North Dixie Freeway. The caller had seen the body and pulled over to offer assistance.

Police determined that Calabrese had been hit by a vehicle due to vehicle fragments found in the roadway. Investigators believe the vehicle involved is a 1999-2002 Chevy Tahoe or Silverado possibly dark blue in color.
