DeLand, FL – Parents, students, and Volusia County Schools employees have a new website to access information. If you’ve been using myvolusiaschools.org, no worries. If you enter the old address, the new one, vcsedu.org will come up.

VCS Community Information Specialist Frank Fitzgerald said the new website was created to meet modern web standards and to make things more easily accessible and searchable. The new website is also quicker than the old one, according to Fitzgerald.

The new website is divided into sections for students and parents. Also added is a page with information on all schools in the county, including the address, phone number and school logo.

Fitzgerald said that something different on the new website was made with the intention of it being responsive design. This means that no matter the device you access the website on, it will resize itself to format and fit the device it’s being viewed on.

There are also focused areas and updated navigation for parents, students, district and community to allow for quicker access to audience-specific content.
